About Denise Deanna

My name is Denise Deanna, and I am 42 this year. I am a wife, a mother of two, and a business owner who believes deeply in building a life and career grounded in faith, intention, and lived experience. “Deanna” is also my Muslim name — a name that marks a defining chapter of my life and reflects the values I strive to live by today.

I met my husband in 2004, and in 2009, I embraced Islam. Like many couples, we began our journey in the corporate world, both of us working in banks and building what looked like a conventional career path. Over time, however, we realised that success meant more than titles and stability. It meant alignment — between who we were, what we believed in, and the life we wanted to build together.

I am a mother to a teenage son and, years later, a new mother again. My second pregnancy came after a long and emotionally challenging
journey with secondary infertility. For many years, I tried to conceive, including undergoing two IVF cycles at the age of 39, both of which were
unsuccessful. It was a season that tested my patience, faith, and emotional resilience in ways I never expected.

In 2024, after performing Umrah, I conceived naturally. I have always believed that this was a blessing written by God, arriving in His perfect timing. That journey reshaped how I view health, wellness, and trust — not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally as well. Today, I balance motherhood with running multiple businesses. I don’t believe in perfection, and I don’t pretend to have everything figured out. What I do believe in is honesty, consistency, and building things with purpose. Whether as a mother, entrepreneur, or content creator, I share my journey as it is — evolving, imperfect, and deeply intentional.

Co-Founder
of Deanna’s Kitchen

Before entering the food and beverage industry, my husband and I spent years in banking. In 2017, we made the life-changing decision to leave our corporate careers and co-found Deanna’s Kitchen. Our first outlet was a humble stall at Toa Payoh Hawker Centre, built not from trend-chasing, but
from a very personal need. As a Muslim revert, I struggled to find halal Chinese prawn
noodles that matched the flavours of my childhood. Prawn noodles were a dish I
grew up loving, yet after embracing Islam, it became something I could no longer easily enjoy. Rather than compromising on taste or authenticity, I began researching and experimenting on my own.

What many people don’t see is that Deanna’s Kitchen was not an overnight decision. It was the result of nearly six years of research, testing, and refining recipes, including a period where I sold from home as a home-based business. Those years allowed us to understand our customers, perfect our flavours, and identify a clear gap in the market: authentic halal Chinese prawn noodles.

At the time, this was a niche category. There were very few, if any, halal Chinese prawn noodle specialists in Singapore. We took a leap of faith, knowing that we were not just selling food, but preserving a cultural
dish in a way that aligned with our beliefs.

Today, while I am not involved in the day-to-day operations of Deanna’s Kitchen, I remain closely involved in the brand’s direction. My role includes menu development, research and development, festive offerings,
and marketing strategy. I am deeply invested in ensuring that every dish reflects the values we started with — authenticity, quality, and integrity.

Deanna’s Kitchen is more than a business. It is a bridge between heritage and faith, built with patience, conviction, and heart.

Founder
of DD Bands

DD Bands was born from one of the most personal chapters of my life — my fertility and health journey. After years of struggling to conceive, navigating emotional lows, and enduring failed IVF cycles, I became more conscious of my overall well-being, from stress management to hormonal balance and lifestyle changes.

During this period, I was introduced to Warren’s Love Quantum Bands. I approached them with curiosity, not expectation. Over time, I noticed changes — not just physically, but in how my body responded, how I felt
emotionally, and how aligned I felt overall. After experiencing these changes myself, I felt compelled to share the bands with others under the DD Bands brand.

DD Bands was never intended to be a quick business venture or a passing trend. It was built from belief, personal experience, and the desire to help others who might be walking a similar path. Since launching, we have received countless testimonials from women trying to conceive, individuals with PCOS, and those struggling with menstrual pain, hormonal imbalances, or fertility concerns.

While every body is different and every journey is unique, the stories shared with us have been deeply moving. For many, the bands became part of a broader wellness journey — one that included faith, mindset shifts, and self-care.

At DD Bands, we prioritise education, transparency, and community. I believe strongly in sharing real experiences rather than making exaggerated claims. What we offer is not a promise, but a tool — one that has supported many, including myself, in meaningful ways.

For me, DD Bands represents hope, belief, and the power of listening to your body. It is a brand rooted in empathy, built by someone who understands the journey firsthand.

Beyond Business: Community, Cooking & Content

Beyond Deanna’s Kitchen and DD Bands, I am also a Thermomix advisor, a role I began in 2021. Over the years, I’ve grown to become the top Thermomix seller in Singapore, with more than 1,500 units sold to date. I also lead one of the largest Thermomix user communities locally.

My focus has always been on halal Chinese cooking — simplifying traditional dishes while preserving flavour and authenticity. Cooking, for me, is not just about recipes, but about empowering families to cook confidently at home.

Alongside business, I also create content part-time. I don’t see myself as a traditional influencer, nor do I set out to “influence” in the conventional sense. I simply share my life — motherhood, business, faith, struggles, and milestones — in a way that is honest and relatable.

Running multiple businesses while raising young children means that balance is never perfect. Some seasons are louder than others. Some are slower and more reflective. I have learned to honour each phase as it comes.

Everything I do today — whether building brands, creating content, or serving my community — is guided by the same principle: intention over noise, substance over hype, and faith over fear.

With love,

DD

Beyond Wellness

Deanna’s Kitchen

In 2017, my husband and I founded Deanna’s Kitchen, specialising in authentic halal Chinese prawn noodles; food rooted in heritage, comfort, and love.

We’re currently located at 10 Jalan Masjid, with exciting updates and new chapters ahead. Good food heals in its own way, and we can’t wait to share more with you.

Cookbooks & Creations

I’m currently working on my second cookbook, planned for release inshallah this year.

My goal is simple: to make Chinese cooking more accessible, especially for those who crave the flavours of home, without complicated steps or hard-to-find ingredients. Food, like healing, should feel approachable and joyful.

A Gentle Reminder

Life is full of surprises; some difficult, some beautiful, many beyond our understanding.

My journey has taught me this: Healing takes time. Faith requires trust. And sometimes, miracles arrive quietly.

Thank you for being here.

With love,

DD
